The advertisements are everywhere and fans are already raving about the Deadpool sequel. Everyone is excited about it, including my two elementary-school-aged nephews. The problem is, if you know anything about Deadpool, you’ll know that he’s not exactly kid-friendly. His comics are known for extreme violence, crude humor, foul language, and sexual behavior. The funny thing is that one of the earliest exposures I had with Deadpool was when I was watching him fight Spider-Man in a cartoon with my young nephews. He appeared on the screen and engaged in silly banter with Spidey in the midst of a full-on fight. I asked them who the character was and they knew all about him. When we heard there was a movie about him coming out, we were all excited. They even asked their mom and I to take them to go see it. However, upon learning that the movie was rated R, we were a little hesitant. It is okay to take a child to see an R-rated movie?

It's the second week of the new year and we're sure that by now, most, if not all, classes are back in session. If you're not familiar, E3 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo) is an expo in Los Angeles where companies within the gaming industry release information about upcoming games or products. Con season in Southern California is over! We wrapped up our convention season with Los Angeles Comic Con back in October! LA Comic Comic Con, formerly known as Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, took over the LA Convention Center for it's 8th year! I headed out with my Super Mario crew to hunt down the coolest cosplays!

St. Patrick's Day is not too far away. If you're anything like me, you love themes and any excuse to celebrate. I'm planning on having friends over this year so I wanted to come up with some fun green or Irish themed drinks to serve. The only thing is, I am very lazy. I only want the easiest recipes possible. Anything that involves a blender, grater, masher, or sauce pan (yes, I saw some drink recipes that told me to whip out a sauce pan! What!?), will not do. Things I CAN do? Cut, pour, stir, shake, and strain. For all my fellow lazy people out there, this one's for you!
