What to Wear: Disneyland Lolita Day

Disneyland Lolita Day is on October 15th. For those of you who don't know, Lolita Day is when everyone dresses in Lolita fashion to meet and gather at the Disneyland theme park. If you're familiar with Dapper Day, it's similar to that, except everyone will be in Lolita style. Still lost? Lolita fashion is a Japanese subculture that's based on Victorian and Edwardian style mixed with a little bit of Rococo. Think: porcelain dolls come to life and you've got Lolita fashion. If you're going to attend Lolita Day at Disneyland, I think it'd make sense to also incorporate a Disney character into your outfit. Here are two outfits I've pulled together for you that would be perfect for Lolita Day.

Your Guide to Warehouse Pickup

Halloween is in just two weeks and we here at Pure Costumes are getting busier than ever. As a reminder to our local customers, we do offer the option of picking up your order from our warehouse here in South El Monte, California instead of having your order shipped to you. Although we normally cater to walk-ins who call ahead, for the month of October, unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate that. To make things easier for you, we created this simple infographic as your guide to warehouse pickup.

You've spent hours researching the costume, looking for pictures with different angles, figured out how to make the different pieces, and spent weeks putting it all together. If you don't want to spend that money, you're left with neon orange and white toy costume guns. Those aren't screen accurate at all! So what do you do? In the cosplay world, I'm known as MagicalBlackGirl Cosplay, and I constantly get questions on how I made my Han Solo Blaster. Lucky for you, I have put together an exclusive tutorial for Pure Costumes to teach you an easy way to turn a toy weapon into a more screen accurate version without breaking the bank.
