April is a pretty full month. There’s April Fool’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, income taxes due on the 15th, Patriot’s Day, and then of, course, there’s Earth Day. Okay, you probably don’t have a lot actually planned for those days. In that case, you should definitely check out a movie.

When I first heard Disney had purchased Lucasfilm for $4 billion, I knew their plans for investment-return would be grand. Not only will we be getting a new episode in the ongoing primary saga, we’re also getting multiple off-shoots from that main tale. The stories will elaborate on several characters we've all come to love from the long-existing universe.

With Read Across America Day coming up, we just couldn't get Dr. Seuss off of our minds. Coincidentally enough, we ran across a local family event in Redondo Beach for a show called Seussical the Musical. It’s a family-friendly musical that combines some of Dr. Seuss’ most popular stories, (including The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas), into one incredible show. The musical performances take you through a variety of genres from pop to gospel to swing and more.

We had so much fun on our last cosplay adventure that we couldn’t wait to do it again. Luckily for us, we just heard about the annual Long Beach Comic Expo which is scheduled to return at the end of this month.

We’ve got big news! Guess who’s been featured on an episode of the Emmy Award winning daytime show, The Doctors, and no it’s not because of a serious medical condition. That’s right, Pure Costumes is proud to have participated in their special holiday episode which aired last Tuesday.
