7 Tips for Celebrating Free Comic Book Day
Free Comic Book Day is a special day coordinated by comic book publishers, retailers, and other reading partners to encourage comic book reading by offering free comic books on this assigned day. Typically scheduled for the first Saturday in May, this annual event is held nationwide at participating comic book stores who give away anywhere from one or more pre-selected comic books to anyone who comes in to the store.

For those who love comics and comic book characters, there’s one day you’ll want to mark on your calendar. May 2nd is the return of Free Comic Book Day. On Free Comic Book Day, participating comic book stores will be giving out free comic books from a pre-selected assortment. The participating stores may offer anywhere from one or more free comic book depending on their individual policies.

With Read Across America Day coming up, we just couldn't get Dr. Seuss off of our minds. Coincidentally enough, we ran across a local family event in Redondo Beach for a show called Seussical the Musical. It’s a family-friendly musical that combines some of Dr. Seuss’ most popular stories, (including The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas), into one incredible show. The musical performances take you through a variety of genres from pop to gospel to swing and more.
