WonderCon is returning once again. This year, the SoCal comic convention is moving to a larger venue over at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Hosted by the same company that puts on San Diego Comic-Con, this event promises to be filled with everything you love about comics, pop culture, and costuming.

This weekend, I spent some time at the Long Beach Comic Expo, which was once again a great event. Today, I wanted to share with you some of the cosplay I was able to photograph at the show. It’s a short list, but here are a few favorites:

Attending a comic convention for the first time can be a bit daunting. The large halls, the costumed people, bright and shiny merchandise, and a handful of famous people can be a bit overwhelming if it’s something you have yet to experience. That’s why today, I’d like to share some insight on what to expect at your first comic convention.

The 2016 WonderCon at the Los Angeles Convention center was their biggest yet. Saturday tickets sold out weeks before the event, but luckily, we were able to score Sunday tickets and attend. Immediately upon arrival, the entire convention center was packed with cosplayers and attendees.

Spring has sprung and now that the weather should be getting nicer, it’s time to venture outside more and enjoy the sun. Something that I love to do and is also Spring-appropriate is afternoon tea. Whether you head to your favorite tea room or if you set up a beautiful tea party in your home or garden, it’s always fun to dress up a little and be fancy for a change.

Earlier this year, we visited the Long Beach Comic Expo to check out the cosplaying scene. This fall, the organizers are returning with their annual Long Beach Comic Con. In honor of this upcoming event, we’ve decided to share with you some fun cosplay ideas for you and your friends.

This week, the Star Wars Celebration is coming to Anaheim, CA! Lucky for us SoCal folk, that means that the biggest Star Wars fan convention will be right in our backyard. If this is the first time you’re hearing about this event, the Star Wars Celebration is the official Star Wars fan convention.

Are you aware that International Sailor Moon Day is on August 15th? It’s just around the corner and we’re so excited to celebrate it! They’re organizing gatherings and celebrations all over the globe! Not a lot of information is out just yet, but they’re planning to keep everyone updated soon and once they do, we’re going to be ready. Going in costume is always our advice so we put together this fun Sailor Moon cosplay hack for anyone looking for tips.

If you follow our blog, you know that we talk about superheroes all year long. Now that Halloween is here, you can be that our eyes are on our new superhero costumes for 2015. This year, Rubies won the manufacturing rights for both Marvel and DC Comics and through their production and design, have created some awesome new superhero costumes for the year. Here are some of our favorites.

It’s time for another round of costume events for the month of September and all I have to say is, “Wow!” I don’t think I’ve ever seen the calendar packed with this many events. And best of all, there’s something for practically everyone! There are Renaissance fairs, anime conventions, steampunk gatherings, and even comic conventions.

There are still lots of cosplay events left for the year so we’re back again with another costume hack for you. This time we’re showing you how to create your own Black Cat costume. Black Cat is most famously a super villain from the Spider-Man series and is sly as she is sexy. Lots of popular cosplayers have dressed as this femme fatale and you can too!
