This past weekend we headed to the Anaheim Convention Center for WonderCon! This 3 Day event, hosted by the same people who organize San Diego Comic Con, was full of pop culture inside info! After making our predictions for the top cosplays of 2019, we were excited to see what would be the hottest cosplay of WonderCon! Here's our WonderCon 2019 Cosplay Recap!

This past weekend we headed to Long Beach Comic Expo to lookout for awesome cosplay! Brought to you by the same people from Long Beach Comic Con, the Expo is a slightly smaller con than LBCC , with comics at the focus! This con may be small, but everyone still brings out their best and most fun cosplays! Despite the 50 degree weather, rain, and strong winds, LBCE was a packed con with lots of visitors and lots to see!

If you love to get dressed up in costume, it can be hard to find events outside of Halloween season. Luckily we do a monthly roundup of costume events in the LA area just for you! Check out this month's events!

This weekend the Pure Costumes team headed to Long Beach Comic Con, for a weekend of cosplay hunting! This smaller con is perfect for getting the comic book convention experience without the crowds! At Long Beach Comic Con, you can find hundreds of vendors and artists, panels and industry professionals! You'll even find things you won't find at your typical con! At LBCC you can watch live wrestling matches or catch movies at a Geek Film Festival! While we were there, we were on the hunt for our favorite part of conventions, the costumes!

Anime Expo 2018 was a hot one both literally and figuratively! Temperatures this weekend reached over 100 degrees but that didn't stop cosplayers from showing up with their best! Anime Expo is North America's largest Japanese pop culture convention. This weekend we met people who flew in from all over the country to share their love for Anime, Manga, and other aspects of Japanese Otaku, or nerd, culture! You can always tell what Anime is most popular based on what cosplays you see most at AX so we went on the hunt for this year's best anime and cosplay trends!

As summer winds down, Halloween fanatics everywhere are itching to break out their decorations and costumes for the spookiest time of year! Luckily, ScareLA exists to get everyone in the Halloween spirit! ScareLA is the first convention of it kind, centering around Halloween and the fans who love it! There you'll find industry panels, performances, horror mazes, workshops, and live make-up demos!

Con season in Southern California is over! We wrapped up our convention season with Los Angeles Comic Con back in October! LA Comic Comic Con, formerly known as Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, took over the LA Convention Center for it's 8th year! I headed out with my Super Mario crew to hunt down the coolest cosplays!

If you are a SoCal resident, you may be familiar with the different themed days at Disneyland. Such themes include Dapper Day, Bats Day, Tiki Day, and many more. Although these planned "days" are not associated with the park, people from all over the globe love to dress up and participate if they happen to be in the area at that time.

Con season is fast approaching! If you're new to the world of nerdy conventions, con season refers to the time of year when most Comic and Pop Culture conventions occur. Although there is no official start and end to con season, most of the major cons happen from May to October. Here is a list of the major cons you will hear about all season!

When many people think of Anime, the first thing that comes to mind is the colorful, strange, and gravity defying hair of the characters. One of the hardest parts of putting together an Anime character's costume is styling the hair., time to style your wig, or money to buy an expensive pre-styled wig, this part can be a nightmare! Luckily with a little bit of time and internet searching, it isn't hard to find an inexpensive wig that can be easily styled into what you need for your character.
