With many conventions and events being shut down due to COVID-19, events are turning to the internet to connect with fans. This month, three of the largest meetups of the year are holding digital conventions that you can stream! So tune in, grab your costume or your comfy clothes and have a mini con at home!

Spring is almost here! The weather is warming up and it's time to leave the house and have some fun. We've rounded up this month's costume events so you can dust off your costumes and have fun with the whole family. This month's events have everything from comic conventions to swing parties. You're sure to find something you want to do!

This Anime Expo, we were tasked with not only finding the coolest cosplays of the weekend, but also with exploring some of the con's cosplay content. AX prides itself in being a con built for cosplayers so we wanted to highlight all the special things Anime Expo has to offer attending cosplayers. Let's take a look at Anime Expo's Unique Cosplay Experience.

For our trip to Anime Expo this year, we gave ourselves a mission. Not only would we do our usual blog covering cool cosplays at the con, but we would cover some of the cosplay events too! This year, Anime Expo debuted a new panel and event: The Street Fighter Arcade Edition Panel and Ultimate Cosplay Showdown. For the first time, Street Fighter Executive Producer, Yoshinori Ono came to Anime Expo. To celebrate, AX made the panel extra epic by combining it with a cosplay competition in this Street Fighter Ultimate Cosplay Showdown.

This Fourth of July Weekend, we headed to the Los Angeles Convention Center with over 100,000 other Anime fans for Anime Expo! Anime Expo is presented by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Arts (SPJA), a non profit that inspires the world through Japanese pop culture, art, and music. This convention definitely achieves SPJA's goals! This 4 Day convention was PACKED with things to do. So packed that we couldn't fit everything in one blog post! Hi, I'm Amy and I'm a Comic Con newbie. We were invited to attend the annual Long Beach Comic Con this past weekend in Long Beach, CA and I didn't know what to expect. I've never really done cosplay, unless making your own Halloween costumes counts, but I do work with an avid cosplayer/Comic Con-attendee (You can see her coverage of LBCC in her article LONG BEACH COMIC CON 2019 COSPLAY RECAP) so I have heard things about Comic Con through the grape vine... or just on the internet since I don't totally live under a rock. Inspired by my already red-colored hair as well as my love for The Little Mermaid, I chose Ariel as my Disney Princess that I would be trying to re-imagine as a maiden of the Renaissance Era, but I was specifically inspired by Ariel's blue dress that she wears in the boat during the "Kiss The Girl" song. I went back for another year at my favorite small con: Long Beach Comic Con! This year, aside from vendors, panels, and comics galore, LBCC brought back fan favorites like Space Expo, the Comic Creators Conference (C3), and even live wrestling!
