Magic Mike XXL
That same weekend, Channing Tatum returned in another Magic Mike film, to the delight of many of his fans. In the film, Mike has been retired for three years but finds himself missing his friends and the stage. So once the rest of the Kings of Tampa ask him to take a trip with them to Myrtle Beach for one last hurrah, Mike can’t resist his last chance to shine.
Minions
Those lovable Minions from Despicable Me are back on July 10th, this time, with their very own movie and back story. It turns out, Minions have been around since the dawn of time. They are creatures who live only to serve. After a string of unsuccessful bosses, the Minions fall into depression until Kevin, Bob, and Stuart set out to find the best evil mastermind to serve. This is definitely a movie that you’ll want to take the kids to. They’re sure to get lots of laughs from the adorable Minions’ crazy antics.
Ant-Man
On July 17th, you can encounter Scott Lang, a thieving con man who needs to help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret of Ant-Man. The Ant-Man suit enables its wearer to shrink in size and then to increase its own strength. All the while, Scott and Dr. Pym must also devise a plan to save the world. A must-see for any Marvel or superhero fan, this action packed film promises to be full of entertainment.
Pixels
Here’s another movie you could take your kids to see for a fun night out. Pixels, due out on July 24th, takes place when aliens come across a time capsule filled with old arcade games. The aliens misinterpret these games as a declaration of war and proceed to attack earth using strategies they see in the games. The President now needs to assemble a team of old school video game players in order to fight back against the aliens and save Earth. Starring Kevin James, Adam Sandler, Michelle Monaghan, and Peter Dinklage, this film is sure to elicit lots of laughs.
