With the return of San Diego Comic Con, it's safe to say that conventions are back! This past Thanksgiving weekend was the first ever San Diego Comic Con Special Edition. This 3-day convention was a smaller version of SDCC's usual 4 day long pop culture extravaganza. We headed down to San Diego for the weekend to see what comic con is like in a post-quarantine world and to get the latest costume news!

Wonder Woman is one of the most recognizable superheroes out there. From her classic red white and blue suit to her updated, armor like new suits, it's safe to say her look is iconic! She's appeared on screen in live-action films and TV shows multiple times since the 60's. With so many decades and appearances, her costume is bound to change a little. This past Saturday, DC held their first ever DC Fandome event. DC Fandome was a 24 hour virtual event full of panels, sneak peeks, and big announcements similar to Comic Con! We've rounded up some of the biggest announcements from Saturday's event.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm one of the biggest Swifties ever! I've even managed to pass my love of Taylor Swift down to daughter. She knows all of Taylor Swift's songs and every time a new video is released, she falls in love with her outfits and asks if she can have the same looks. So since my daughter happens to have a few Taylor Swift costumes and we're looking for activities to do while self-quarantining and social distancing, I decided it would be fun to do a Taylor Swift photo shoot!

Amazon PRIME's new series, The Boys, introduces the world to the raunchy dark side of superheroes. It's perfect for those who love superheroes but want something with more adult themes. You should definitely check out the Bad Boys for Life if you're looking for a little more action in your movie. This Winter’s movie releases are sure to have something for everyone. Hi, I'm Amy and I'm a Comic Con newbie. We were invited to attend the annual Long Beach Comic Con this past weekend in Long Beach, CA and I didn't know what to expect. I've never really done cosplay, unless making your own Halloween costumes counts, but I do work with an avid cosplayer/Comic Con-attendee (You can see her coverage of LBCC in her article LONG BEACH COMIC CON 2019 COSPLAY RECAP) so I have heard things about Comic Con through the grape vine... or just on the internet since I don't totally live under a rock. Here's a recap of my first comic con experience.

The new Captain Marvel Movie is almost here! If you're like most movie-goers, you may have searched Captain Marvel when your first heard of the movie and you may have been confused by all the different people who popped up in the search! That's because Carol Danvers, the MCU's newest hero, is not the first Captain Marvel! She's actually the newest character to take on the mantle. We've rounded up the most notable Captain Marvels to prepare for the movie!

It looks like summer is finally coming to a close. No need to be sad because now we have a slew of fall movies to look forward to! Take a look at our Fall 2019 Movie Releases Infographic for the biggest movie releases coming to theaters. In September, we'll be seeing the opening of the long-awaited sequel to It, the star-studded Hustlers, the Downton Abbey movie, and so much more. We're definitely going to be spending a lot time in the theaters in October as that's when we'll be seeing the releases of Joker, The Addams Family, and the sequels to Maleficent and Zombieland! And finally, in November we're most excited to see Charlie's Angels, Frozen 2, and Tom Hank's as Mr. Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. What are you most excited to see this fall?

Summer is finally here and it looks like it's full of amazing new movie releases that I just can't wait to see. Looking at this list, I can't point to a single movie that I don't want to see. But I do have to say I'm definitely most excited to see Spider-Man: Far From Home. I've been feeling Marvel withdraws since I saw Avengers: Endgame. I'm definitely anxious to see the aftermath of Endgame and also see where the story's going from there. Also, now that my kids are on summer break, it'll be fun to take them to see some movies as well. They're definitely excited to see Toy Story 4 and The Secret Life of Pets 2.
