Just because it's their uniform doesn't mean it always has to look the same. After ten years of on screen appearances, The Avengers have changed their appearances and suits quite a lot. We decided to focus on the original Avengers from the first movie and put together a list of their most notable uniform changes. This Anime Expo, we were tasked with not only finding the coolest cosplays of the weekend, but also with exploring some of the con's cosplay content. AX prides itself in being a con built for cosplayers so we wanted to highlight all the special things Anime Expo has to offer attending cosplayers. For our trip to Anime Expo this year, we gave ourselves a mission. Not only would we do our usual blog covering cool cosplays at the con, but we would cover some of the cosplay events too! This year, Anime Expo debuted a new panel and event: The Street Fighter Arcade Edition Panel and Ultimate Cosplay Showdown. For the first time, Street Fighter Executive Producer, Yoshinori Ono came to Anime Expo. To celebrate, AX made the panel extra epic by combining it with a cosplay competition in this Street Fighter Ultimate Cosplay Showdown.

Amazon PRIME's new series, The Boys, introduces the world to the raunchy dark side of superheroes. It's perfect for those who love superheroes but want something with more adult themes. If you've watched the series, you may have noticed some similarities between the Supes on the show and your favorite Marvel and DC heroes. From their super-suits to their powers, there are many similarities. If you didn't notice them, we've put together an infographic depicting The Boys vs their DC and Marvel Superhero Counterparts.

Friday the 13th is considered unlucky in Western superstition, but it's unclear where exactly the superstition started. This Fourth of July Weekend, we headed to the Los Angeles Convention Center with over 100,000 other Anime fans for Anime Expo! Anime Expo is presented by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Arts (SPJA), a non profit that inspires the world through Japanese pop culture, art, and music. This convention definitely achieves SPJA's goals! This 4 Day convention was PACKED with things to do. So packed that we couldn't fit everything in one blog post! Renaissance Faire season in Southern California is here! We decided to be some of the first to experience it this year and headed to opening day of The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire here in Irwindale, California! The weather was a perfect low-70s, a huge contrast compared to the 90-degree weather we had last year! It was the perfect day to head out in layers of Renaissance-themed clothing.

2019 is coming to an end, but movie season is still going strong! We’ve created a list of the Winter movies we’re most looking forward to. If you’re looking for something for the whole family, we think the Sonic the Hedgehog movie would be a great fit. And if you're looking for something scarier Gretel and Hansel brings an old fairy tale to life in a terrifying way. You should definitely check out the Bad Boys for Life if you're looking for a little more action in your movie. This Winter’s movie releases are sure to have something for everyone. I personally can't wait to watch the final chapter of Star Wars this month. Which one are you most excited to see?

Hi, I'm Amy and I'm a Comic Con newbie. We were invited to attend the annual Long Beach Comic Con this past weekend in Long Beach, CA and I didn't know what to expect. I've never really done cosplay, unless making your own Halloween costumes counts, but I do work with an avid cosplayer/Comic Con-attendee (You can see her coverage of LBCC in her article LONG BEACH COMIC CON 2019 COSPLAY RECAP) so I have heard things about Comic Con through the grape vine... or just on the internet since I don't totally live under a rock. Inspired by my already red-colored hair as well as my love for The Little Mermaid, I chose Ariel as my Disney Princess that I would be trying to re-imagine as a maiden of the Renaissance Era, but I was specifically inspired by Ariel's blue dress that she wears in the boat during the "Kiss The Girl" song.
