March 2016 Movies

Movie Mondays: March 2016

We’re back with Movie Mondays! This month is filled with a ton of great movies and I’m personally excited about a few of them that I’ll highlight for you today. Here's a list of some of the most anticipated March 2016 movie releases. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice I’ve long been a fan of both Batman and Superman so I’ve been waiting for this movie for quite some time now. In fact, March 25th can’t get here any sooner. Even though I wasn’t entirely thrilled with Man of Steel, I’m still excited for Dawn of Justice just because I’m really interested in seeing the Batman v Superman match-up and I’m also wondering how Ben Affleck will do with portraying the Caped Crusader. The Divergent Series: Allegiant Divergent Allegiant Divergent fans everywhere are excitedly awaiting the third installment of the series’ release on March 18th. In the aftermath of the last film, Tris and Four escape beyond the walls of Chicago. Without giving too much away, Tris finds out many new revelations and is then left to determine where her allegiance lies. Whether you’re a fan of the book series, the films, or both, this installment promises to be an exciting ride. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Based on Kim Barker’s memoir, The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, about her time there covering the war, Tina Fey steps into the shoes of the war correspondent in this dark comedic role. In the film, Barker has been feeling pretty bored with her life and work when she gets the opportunity to go overseas to cover the war. Never having been an on-air correspondent, she looks to Margot Robbie’s Tanya to show her the ropes of being a female journalist in a Muslim country where females face many challenges. The trailer is full of sarcasm and humor and definitely has me marking my calendar for March 4th. Zooptopia Zootopia Here’s one for the kiddos. Zootopia, out on March 4th, depicts a metropolitan city full of anthropomorphic animals. Judy Hopps has just joined the police force and although she’s not taken very seriously at first, she’s determined to prove her worth. Forced to work with a con artist of a fox, they team together to try and solve a conspiracy. With cute animals and lighthearted fun, this animated film looks to be a great adventure for kids and adults alike. Which of these movies are you most excited to see this month?
